Example Conversations
Section titled “Example Conversations”Parent Examples
Section titled “Parent Examples”“Why is Luna’s tablet in Quiet Time?”
“Luna’s tablet is in Quiet Time because of her ‘School Night Bedtime’ schedule, which starts at 8:30 PM. This schedule runs Sunday through Thursday. Would you like to grant a temporary override?”
“What times would work for a homework schedule?”
“Based on your current schedules, Luna is usually free from 3:30-5:00 PM on weekdays. This might be a good window for homework. Do you want me to help you create a Focused Mode schedule for that time?”
“How do I set up the Android app?”
“I can walk you through Android setup! First, make sure you have a registration code from the Parent Portal. Then download the Thriva app from the Play Store…”
Child Examples
Section titled “Child Examples”“When can I play games?”
“Hi! Right now you’re in Focused Mode because it’s homework time. Your Free Time starts at 5:00 PM today - that’s in about 45 minutes. You can use learning apps and ThrivaOS right now though!”
“Why can’t I use YouTube?”
“YouTube isn’t available during Focused Mode. This is part of the schedule your family agreed on. If you think this is a mistake, you can send a message to your parent through ThrivaOS.”
The AI Learns About Your Family
Section titled “The AI Learns About Your Family”Over time, the AI picks up on patterns:
- What schedules work well
- Common questions you ask
- Adjustments that help
- What advice you’ve found useful
This helps it give better suggestions. You can view and manage what the AI has learned in the AI Notes section.
Privacy and Safety
Section titled “Privacy and Safety”Data Use
Section titled “Data Use”- AI conversations help Thriva work better
- Your data isn’t used to train AI models
- Conversations are private to your family
- You can delete conversation history
Child Safety
Section titled “Child Safety”- Child-facing AI is carefully tuned for appropriateness
- It won’t share information children shouldn’t have
- It encourages talking to parents about concerns
- It’s supportive, not permissive
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”The AI is helpful but not perfect:
- It may not know about very recent changes
- It can’t override parental decisions
- Complex family situations may need human judgment
- Technical issues should be reported to support
