Creating Your Account

Creating a Thriva account takes just a few minutes. During our alpha period, all features are completely free.

Alpha Signup Process

During the alpha period, new families join through our waitlist. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Join the Waitlist

Go to thriva.app/alpha and provide:

• Email address - Where we’ll send your invitation
• First name - So we know what to call you
• Family name - Your family’s last name
• Devices you plan to use - Windows computers, Android phones/tablets
• Number of children - How many kids will use Thriva
• Children’s ages - Helps us understand your needs (6-9, 10-12, or 13-17)
• Your biggest challenge - What’s the main device issue you’re facing?
• How you heard about us - Friend, social media, search, etc.

Step 2: Wait for Approval

We review waitlist applications to ensure we can support each family well during alpha. You’ll receive an email when approved (typically within a few days).

Step 3: Set Your Password

Once approved, you’ll receive an email with a link to set your password. Click the link and choose a secure password (at least 8 characters).

Check your spam folder

If you don’t see the approval email, check your spam or junk folder. Add noreply@thriva.app to your contacts.

Step 4: Sign In and Complete Setup

After setting your password, sign in at parents.thriva.app. You’ll be guided through initial setup:

Family Values Wizard (5 steps):

1. Select your family values - Choose 3-5 values that matter most to your family:

   • Education & Learning
   • Physical Health & Activity
   • Mental Health & Well-being
   • Family Connection & Quality Time
   • Independence & Responsibility
   • Creativity & Self-Expression
   • And more…

2. Describe your device challenge - What’s the biggest issue with device use in your family?

3. Your parenting philosophy - How do you approach decisions?

   • Collaborative (decisions made together)
   • Structured (clear boundaries expected)
   • Flexible (adapts to situation)
   • Still figuring it out

4. Set your timezone - So schedules work correctly for your location

5. Confirmation - Review your choices (can be updated anytime in Settings)

What’s Next?

After creating your account, you’re ready to:

1. Set up your family - Add your children’s profiles
2. Install on a device - Get Thriva running on Windows or Android
